BUYER/LESSOR: Britney Spears
LOCATION: Hidden Hills, CA
PRICE: $12,900,000/$25,000 per month (list price)
SIZE:19,107 square feet, 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms
YOUR MAMAS NOTES: All the real estate gossips have been abuzz the last couple of days with rumors and reports that pop star Britney Spears is fixin' to pack up her kids and her unfortunate collection of Daisy Dukes and move to a massive mansion in the guard-gated and celebrity-friendly equestrian community of Hidden Hills in the far western suburbs of Los Angeles, CA.
Your Mama, ever the skeptic, checked with friend and informant Lucy Spillerguts who confirmed that Miss Spears and her posse will indeed decamp her rented mansion in a swank gated community in Calabasas, CA and set up house on a 3.39-acre village-like estate that includes a 19,107 square foot multi-winged manse and a mini-mall-sized entertainment complex with arcade, wood-paneled ballroom, a kitchen-sized wet bar, fitness center, poker playing room, guest quarters and a couple of staff apartments. Altogether, according to listing information, the compound has 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, an unlucky number that would keep a superstitious housegal like our devoted but autocratic Svetlana from even stepping a single foot on the property.
The lavishly landscaped grounds include a paddling-pond with small dock, sunken tennis court surrounded by a stone balustrade, vast swathes of well-watered lawn, free-form swimming pool with grotto where the spa is situated.
The palatial property was previously on the market with an asking price as high as $18,900,000 and as low as $12,900,000. However, after kibbutzing with a few cohorts we're satisfied that Miss Spears actually leased the property, as was reported in the Wall Street Journal. We haven't a clue what she's actually paying each month, but the huge house was most recently listed at $25,000 per month.
The horsey Hidden Hills community is home to a slew of celebs who include Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Melissa Etheridge and the heartburn inducing Kardashian/Jenner clan. Until recently rock and roll princess Lisa Marie Presley owned and occupied a two-parcel compound in the upscale enclave.
The seller of Miss Spears new Tudor-style compound is construction mogul/private equity pasha Ron Tutor who joined a consortium of investors who include Rob Lowe who recently acquired Miramax Films from the Walt Disney Company in am astonishing $660,000,000 deal. Mister Tutor is well known among Los Angeles real estate followers and in September of 2008 the business baron made headlines when he dropped a heart-stopping $32,200,000 to purchase a not yet completed 27,000 square foot mega-mansion with 18 poopers in the unashamedly ostentatious guard-gated Beverly Park community tucked into the mountains high above Beverly Hills.
Mazel Tov on your new mansion Miss Spears. Now if you could only get rid of that mansion in the Beverly Hills Post Office. Although she hasn't occupied the property for quite some time, records show that Miss Spears still owns a faux-Tuscan mansion in the gated Summit community in the Beverly Hills Post Office area. This was the scene of much of her crazy back in 2006 and '07. Miss Spears has had the house on and off the market more times than Your Mama can count with a variety of prices, some of which represented a multi-million dollar loss.

Your Mama Hears...
...That rom-com queen Jennifer Aniston (Just Go With It, Marley & Me, Friends) isn't the only Hollywood hotshot female to quietly float her home on to the market with with a teeth chattering price tag.
We first heard whispers several days ago from a friend and informant and now two impeccably placed real estate tattle-tales confirm that comedienne and talk show titan Ellen Degeneres has quietly floated her multi-residence Beverly Hills, CA compound on the market with a scorching asking price of around $50,000,000.
Miz Degeneres and her actress wife Portia de Rossi laid out $29,000,000 for the nearly 9,000 square foot crown jewel of their hillside compound above Coldwater Canyon (above), which they purchased in December 2007 from Will & Grace co-creator Max Mutchnick and his unfortunately named entertainment attorney huzband Erik Hyman.
The property-mad pair quickly snatched up two adjacent residences for another $13,500,000. One house they kept and the other they razed to make way for an expanded motor court and private park. In July of 2008 they shelled out another $5,500,000 to acquire the final piece of their real estate puzzle, a hillside house with oblique views into their backyard.
A few quick flicks of the well-worn beads of our bejeweled abacus shows that Miz Degeneres shelled out a staggering total of $48,000,000 to put her compound together. Sit back and think about that for a moment, cupcakes. Forty-eight million clams not counting the ten or so million buckaroos she coughed up for a 26+-acre equestrian paradise in the rustic hills outside Westlake Village, CA in late 2009. Hoo-wee, babies, after publicly coming out of the closet this Sapphic sister became Tinseltown pariah who managed turn her professional lemons into wildly wealthy Hollywood power-player lemonade. Brava beehawtcha!
Anyhoo, we really can't fathom why the Missus Degeneres's might want to unload their superstar-style compound after so much scratch and effort was spent to cobble it together and customize it to their exacting and specific standards. If we've said it once, puppina-weenuhs, we've said it a thousand times, who are we to question or comprehend the capricious real estate ways of the rich and famous? Especially the mercurial ways of someone like Ellen Degeneres who has a long history of buying and flipping high-priced properties from Los Angeles to Montecito to the Santa Ynez Valley.

Celebrity Stylist and Reality T.V. Star Rachel Zoe on the Move
Perhaps in preparation for their upcoming bundle of boy baby joy, L.A.-based celebrity ur-stylist and reality television star Rachel Zoe and her metrosexual man-mate/business partner Rodger Berman recently vacated their leased one-bedroom apartment on the Sunset Strip and decamped–we hear through the celebrity gossip grapevine–to a family-sized mansion in the Beverly Hills flats.
Miz Zoe, a slip of a thing who probably went from a Chanel size minus-zero to a comparatively plump size two, made a name and small fortune styling red carpet ensembles for celebs and celebutantes like Nicole Richie, model Molly Sims, Cameron Diaz and Twitter-queen Demi Moore. With no formal fashion training–she has a liberal arts degree from George Washington University–Miz Zoe turned her personal style of retro-fitted 1970s urban disco-glam meets boho chic into a lucrative and growing brand that already encompasses a reality television show (The Rachel Zoe Project), a line of accessories she hawks on QVC, an upcoming clothing line separate from QVC and a slew of collaborations with and consulting gigs for bejeweled handbag designer Judith Lieber, Gap, Piperlime and Lindex.
Back in late 2007 Rach and Rodge put their 2 bedroom and 3 pooper mid-century modern house on Rising Glen Road above the Sunset Strip on the market with an asking price of $2,995,000. The 2,545 square foot single-story contemporary, which records show they snatched in December of 2001 for $914,000, sold for $2,500,000 in June of 2008.
We don't know if the waifish pair way-layed somewhere in between, but at some point after they decamped their house in the hills they settled into a leased apartment on a high floor of the star-stocked Sierra Towers building on the border between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills where other residents include entertainment industry grande dames such as Cher, Elton John, Diahann Carroll and Joan Collins. The leased apartment was featured prominently on Rach's reality tee-vee program making it instantly recognizable to those like Your Mama who have an unhealthy affinity for hair-brained reality television programs.
It was brought to our attention the other day by a gentleperson we'll call Terry Tellsusaboutit that the fashionista couple's temporary and contemporary condo (shown above) had recently been on the market. We hear from another person in a position to know that the 2,117 square foot corner condo unit had been available for sale with an optimistic asking price of $4,500,000 and we learn from listing information Terry teased up out of the internets that it had also been offered for lease at $12,500 per month.
The apartment no longer appears on the open sales or rental market because according to another well-placed informant–let's call her Sunny Sunsetstripknowitall–Rach and Rodge have packed up up their designer duds, moved out and that the apartment was already leased to a non-celebrity tenant for an unknown amount of moolah.
Listing information shows the couple-friendly 20th floor condo has just one bedroom and two bathrooms. Photos show a small entry hall spills into a generous but far from cavernous living/dining room with polished concrete floors and two full walls of floor to ceiling glass sliders that open to narrow terraces and provide panoramic views of over Beverly Hills and the expensive homes nestled into the steep hill that rises up behind the Sunset Strip. A wall of built-in cubbies and shelves in the living room hold books, stylist-approved tchotchskes and a flat screen tee-vee on which Rodge, Rach and her team of ambitious assistants watched their fashion wards walk the red carpet at the 2010 Academy Awards.
As a juicy tabloid aside, Miz Zoe is reportedly engaged in a cut-throat cat fight with her former assistant Brad Goreski, with all parties smiling and refusing to comment, natch. See kids, Mister Goreski recently packed up his bow-ties and lit out from under Miz Zoe's styling wing and (allegedly) poached Demi Moore, a long time and beloved client of Miz Zoe. Quelle scandale!
Anyhoodles poodles, the adjacent galley kitchen may be merely apartment-sized but it's nicely turned out and well equipped with clean-lined flat-fronted cabinetry and high grade built-in appliances that include an integrated refrigerator/freezer.
The wide open exposure in the main living/dining room can be eschewed for the cozy den where Rach and Rodge had placed another flat scree tee-vee on a mirrored bureau. The children will note the highly coveted $1,100+ Hermès Avalon blanket self-consciously tucked over the arm of the bright white love seat sofa where it whispers loudly, "Look at me, I'm an $1,100 Hermès Avalon blanket and I'm delicious." This, it should also be noted is only one of at least two Hermès blankets Rach and Rodge had strewn about their rented residence at the Sierra Towers.
We followed up our celebrity real estate lead from Terry Tellsusaboutit not only with a communication with Sunny Sunsetstripknowitall but with a call to our über-informative informant Lucy Spillerguts who frequently has her finger on the pulse of celebrity real estate matters and who snitched to Your Mama that Rach and Rodge moved into a large and architecturally-suspicious mansion on a palm tree-lined street in a pretty fookin' fancy area of the Bev Hills flats. The property is close enough to walk to the chi-chi shops on and around Rodeo Drive, but Your Mama would place a rather large bet that nary a soul will see itty-bitty Rachel Zoe teetering down the street in six inch Louboutins and a vintage Halston caftan pushing a tricked-out stroller like this $3,500 number on her way from her house to the Bev Hills outpost of Barney's New York.
The gated mansion to where Lucy Spillerguts says Rach and Rodge are relocating (shown above) does not currently appear to be on the open market. However, we did suss out that the 7,185 square foot mansion had been on the market a couple years ago with a number of price tags that went as high as $8,250,000. Property records do not show a recent transfer of ownership suggesting that Rach and Rodge are, once again, renters.
Listing information we readily accessed on the interweb shows the two-story trad contains a total of 5 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. In addition to the small but not minuscule staff room and pooper located on the ground floor behind the laundry room, there are three nicely-sized family bedrooms on the second floor, each with walk-in closet and private facilities. The expansive master suite includes an awkward corner fireplace, sitting room with built-in cabinets and display shelves, a private terrace, and his and her en suites that include large poopers and bedroom-sized custom fitted walk-in closets perfect for clothes horses like Rach and Rodge.
The mansion, an architecturally unusual house for Rach and Rodge to choose based on their very contemporary previous residences, includes a central foyer flanked by a formal dining room and a 35-foot long step-down formal living room with fireplace. A long hall with two right angles passes a paneled study, powder pooper, the door into the attached front-facing two-car garage, the laundry and staff rooms to the less formal family quarters at the rear of the house. The gigantic sky-lit kitchen has traditional and ordinary–but probably expensive–white raised-panel cabinetry with black granite counter tops, a breakfast room wrapped in windows and a family room with mirrored built-in wet bar, fireplace and French doors that open to the back yard where stone terraces and lush landscaping surround the swimming pool and spa.
Why these two don't just suck it up and buy a modest but posh little house where they can raise baby is beyond Your Mama's capacity to understand. Perhaps they'll enlighten our ignorant ass at their housewarming/meet the baby party to which we're hoping in conscious futility to get invited.

Laurie Metcalf Leaving Valley Village
SELLER: Laurie Metcalf and Matt Roth
LOCATION: Valley Village, CA
PRICE: $1,925,000
SIZE: 3,738 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms
YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Thanks to a celebrity real estate leg up from Sandy Sanfernandovalley we've learned that the high-sterical three-time Emmy winning actress Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne) and her actor man-mate Matt Roth (Blink, View From the Top, Pups) recently hoisted their long-time residence in the suburban Los Angeles, CA community of Valley Village on the market with an asking price of $1,925,000.
She may best be known for her role as the goofy, insecure and aimless Jackie Harris on the long-running award-winning sitcom Roseanne but Miz Metcalf is a comedic thespian with acting chops that dive deeper than the highways and bi-ways of Hollywood. She was a founding ensemble member of the legendary Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago where she earned a slew of accolades and in 2008 Miz Metcalf received a Tony nomination for exercising her funny bone on Broadway in David Mamet's November.
Since Roseanne went dark in 1997, Miz Metcalf has gone on to appear in a laundry list of tee-vee sitcoms and dramedies including Norm, God, The Devil and Bob, Desperate Housewives, Easy Money and most recently The Big Bang Theory. She's also lent her voice to several animated movies including the wildly successful Toy Story film franchise.
It difficult to fathom that it was ever possible to purchase a (small) estate in suburban Los Angeles for under half a million clams but property records reveal that Miz Metcalf and Mister Roth did just that when they purchased their walled and gated .63 acre mini-estate way back in May of 1991 for just $360,000.
The property, at it's current list price of $1,925,000, not only represents an enviable $1,565,000 gain for Miz Metcalf and Mister Roth but it is by far the priciest property currently on the open market in the Valley Village zip code where the next most expensive home weighs in at nearly 5,000 square feet and is listed at just under $1,300,000. A few minutes poking around on the interweb also reveals that the highest price paid for a property in the last six months in Miz Metcalf and Mister Roth's zip code was a newly constructed 4,133 square foot residence that went for $1,437,000.
We really haven't any idea the condition or amenities the estate had when Miz Metcalf and Mister Roth acquired the residence but current listing information shows the main house was built in 1934, measures 3,738 square feet and includes 4 bedrooms and 3.5 poopers.
The petite foyer–painted an unusual, not entirely pleasant and very Irish shade of green–gives way to a voluminous and sky-lit double-height living and dining area with vaulted and beamed ceiling, hardwood floors, fireplace and a number of architectural details–such as the columns that flank the front window in the living room–that we'd prefer weren't there. A staircase with wrought iron balustrade wraps itself around the double-height dining area that sits adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen done up with a green tile floor laid on the diagonal, a combination of beige tile and butcher block counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
On the lower level two of the home's four bedrooms open to private stone courtyards. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms including the sky-lit master suite complete with vaulted and beamed ceiling, fireplace with funky hearth fashioned from a massive boulder, private balcony and private terliting and bathing facility with sky lights, flagstone tile floor, double pedestal sinks, claw-footed soaking tub and separate shower.
Although (and unfortunately) surrounded on two sides by apartment buildings the park-like backyard grounds remain surprisingly private and include numerous stone terraces, a built in barbecue grill, an outdoor fireplace, swimming pool, north/south positioned tennis court and generous expanses of lawn encircled by thick and trees and foliage. The grounds are decidedly un-manicured and while we're certain some of the children will say it's all a hot mess Your Mama finds it refreshing and revealing to see a celebrity-owned property not snipped and clipped into a tidy submission.
A detached two-car garage at the tail end of the gravel driveway that sweeps past the main house towards the rear of the property has a second level game room with wide-plank hardwood floors, a vaulted ceiling, wet bar and a deck that wraps around three sides with tree-top views overs the swimming pool and tennis court. Ordinarily we're not fond of putting pool tables in private homes–just a preference not a rule–but we're good with a billiard table in a detached and dedicated game room and rather like Miz Metcalf and Mister Roth's wacky pool table that looks like it's upholstered in faux-leopard skin.
Presumably Miz Metcalf and Mister Roth will opt to keep home base in Tinseltown but property records indicate that the mostly under the radar showbiz couple also own a home nestled into a scenic valley south of Yellowstone National Park and west of the Teton National Forest in Victor, ID.

Clay Aiken Is a Real Estate Size Queen
SELLER: Clay Aiken
LOCATION: Cary, NC
PRICE: $2,700,000
SIZE: 9,392 square feet, 6 full and 3 half bathrooms
YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Before heading up to Big Daddy's ranch where there isn't interweb service for miles, we received a covert communique from a gabby gal we'll call Kerri from Cary who snitched to Your Mama that former American Idol phenom Clay Aiken recently put his big ol' mansion outside Raleigh, NC in the semi-rural community of Cary on the market with a $2,700,000 price tag.
Mister Aiken is, of course, the season two runner of of American Idol, a program that jumped the damn shark about four or five long seasons ago. He lost out to a rather rotund gentleman named Ruben Studdard. Remember him folks? We can't hardly either. Anyhoo, since his star-making turn on The Idol Mister Aiken has gone on to make five and sell millions of albums Iffin we're being honest, and we always are–and even though he's got a golden throat we'd rather light ourselves on fire than listen to any of those albums. The Bizzy Beaver has toured at least nine times and proudly claims legions of rabid fans who call themselves questionable things like Claymates, Claygays and Claysians. That latter group would be, natch, Asians who worship at the musical altar of Clay Aiken. Along the way Mister Aiken trod the Broadway boards in the Tony-winning Spamalot and–huzzah!–devoted a great deal of time to doing good work for the people of UNICEF.
Poor Mister Aiken was raked across the tabloid coals in 2007 after he (allegedly) posted photos of himself on the gay sex hook up site Manhunt. In August of 2008 Mister Aiken made a baby with ladee-pal and producer Jaymes Foster–a Claybaby, if you will–and a month later he publicly confirmed what anyone with eyes and ears already knew: he's a homo. No. Big. Deal. He (allegedly) hooked up with unusually limber Broadway back-up dancer Reed Kelly sometime in 2008 but has (allegedly) moved on to lean and lithe actor/underwear model Jeff Walters. A few lurid photos of the young and hairless Mister Walters that he'd previously posted on the gay mobile phone hook up app Grindr recently surfaced that reveal that he, uhm, let's just say that the photos make it quite clear Mister Walters doesn't require any padding to fill out the pouch when he's working. Iffin they want to take heed, there's a lesson in this here paragraph for horny gays combing the internets for a little slap and tickle.
As fassinatin' as Miss Aiken's professional and private lives may be, it's his escalating and unresolved real estate size queenery that we're here to discuss. In the pre-Idol year of 2000 Mister Aiken paid a picayune $67,500 for a 4 bedroom condo in Charlotte, NC where he was at the time going to college.
In September of 2003 he dumped a post-Idol celebrity-style $2,300,000 for a 1.3 acre estate in the decidedly unglam über-suburban Los Angeles, CA community of Chatsworth. It not that no celebs live or have ever lived in Chatsworth–Marilyn Manson actually lived there for quite some time–it's that Chatsworth is the epicenter of the porn industry in California which gives it a certain sort of lurid gloss that most famous folks besides Charlie Sheen don't care to (publicly) affiliate themselves with. The American Idol (runner-up) didn't care for California livin' so he quickly flipped his barely-used 7,786 square foot mock-Med mansion back on the market. Property records show the 6 bedroom and 7 pooper pad, which includes a long gated drive, swimming pool and tennis court, sold in September of 2005 for $2,375,000.
The following April Mister Aiken laid down $2,361,000 to acquire an even larger and newly constructed mansion on 6.98 acres inside a well-to-do gated community outside of Raleigh, NC in semi-rural Cary. At a sprawling 9,392 square feet Mister Aiken's new crib in Cary is quite a bit larger than his old one in Cali. Current listing information shows the stone and stucco "transitional" style mansion–whatever "transitional" is–has a total of 6 bedrooms and 6 full and 3 half bathrooms. That is a lot of damn terlits for one man and his toddler child. Shoot, that beehawtcha is too damn big even if Mister Aiken moved his new, largely equipped and alleged man-friend Jeff Walters into the manor.
A gated drive curves up to a circular motor court with a circular fountain in the center. Inside, off to the right of an impress-the-guests style marble foyer with a curved staircase, a study has built-in bookshelves that flank the first of home's four fireplaces. A grand double-height living room has more built in shelves and a towering wall of windows and French doors and the family room has hardwood floors laid on the diagonal, a sharply vaulted ceiling, built in cabinetry and a row of windows that look into a screen porch at the rear of the house.
Other interior amenities include a large and deluxe but sort of ordinary kitchen with professional-grade appliances, a home theater with tiered seating and a vaguely 1950s game room in the basement with black and white checkered floor and a wet bar/kitchen with cherry red cabinets, black granite counter tops and quilted stainless-steel back splash. This is probably a nice room to throw a birthday part for a 9 year old but it's just so decoratively cliché that it kind of makes Your Mama feel sad.
We're not even going to attempt to delve into the unspeakably vexatious curtains in the master bedroom or wonder why one of the other bedrooms was painted a particularly feminine shade of pale lavender.
On the exterior the driveway sweeps around the the side of the house where there's a parking pad and three-car attached garage. Around on the back side the main level opens up a deck and screen porch and the lower level to a large stone terrace that overlooks Mister Aiken's private pond with fountain. There is not, it should be noted, a tennis court or a swimming pool, deal breakers for many in this price range for sure, but not so uncommon as it turns out in this particular upscale enclave of multi-winged mansions on multi-acre parcels.
Of course, we haven't any idea where Mister Aiken is headed next but if his real estate history is any indication the just may be considering trading up to something even bigger, sort of like he's done with his (alleged) underwear model friend.

Your Mama Hears...
...through the Beverly Hills real estate grapevine that Jennifer Aniston –as she herself hinted in People magazine recently–has very quietly floated her recently renovated Hal Leavitt-designed mansion in Beverly Hills on the market.
We first heard this rumor from one of the children and immediately fired up our bedazzled princess phone to touch base with some of our better connected informants. Within an hour we heard back from one of our Bev Hill real estate big wig pals who snitched that not only had Miz Aniston given an L.A. real estate power player the green light to chat the property up to potential buyers but that a number of the top property purveyors in the Platinum Triangle were invited to viewed the gated estate this week. We also heard from a tattle-tale who often knows about these sorts things that the asking price for Miz Aniston's 9,000-plus square foot house is a bank account blistering $42,000,000.
Miz Aniston paid $13,500,000 for the secluded house in late 2006 and spent several years and probably several millions more on a gut renovation. Almost as soon as the overhaul was completed Miz Aniston had the folks over at Architectural Digest over to take some juicy house porn pictures of the property. It may not be every one's cup of architectural and decorative tea but, puppies, it's smack you hard across the face gorgeous.
All week the real estate gossips have been aflutter over the whispers and rumors that Miz Aniston is considering a move to New York City–where she grew up–and may have put an offer in on a duplex penthouse pad in a pre-war building in the West Village. She's denied making an offer on that apartment but is on record as "looking, looking and looking" for a crib in the Big Apple.
It's all rumor and gossip, kids, rumor and gossip.
Disney Cash Cow Miley Cyrus Flips Florida Panhandle Penthouse
SELLER: Miley Cyrus
LOCATION: Panama City Beach, FL
PRICE: $1,968,750
SIZE: 4,400 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms
YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Listen chickens, today is a travel day and we don't have much time to linger. However, Your Mama does not like to leave the children high, dry and headed towards berserk without their celebrity real estate fix. So, before we pack up and put our long-bodied bitches Linda and Beverly into our big BMW and make the long drive up to Big Daddy's ranch we're going to have a quick discussion about the multi-million dollar condo that Disney's teenage cash cow Miley Cyrus recently sold down in Panama City Beach, FL, an area sometimes referred to as the "Redneck Riviera."
Being as old as the hills and averse to most things "Disney" Your Mama doesn't fall into the vast sub-category of tweens, teens and adults with juvenile musical taste who succumb to the talents and charmless charms of Little Miss Miley Cyrus. What little we know of the smoky-voiced salvia smoker we've learned through the gossip glossies and, just as with that Justin Bieber fella, Your Mama wouldn't know a Miley Cyrus song if it crawled up and kissed our fat ass.
What we do know is that Little Miss Miley earns tens of millions of dollars each year and although she's just 18 years old has started to buy and sell real estate like all those many other celebs who suffer from The Real Estate Fickle. Property records (and The Bizzy Boys at Celebrity Address Aerial) reveal that in December of 2009 a property trust known to be connected to Miss Cyrus became the proud owner of a spacious gulf-front condominium in Panama City Beach on the western end of the Florida Panhandle. The condo cost the teen queen, according the the records we accessed, $1,850,000.
Your Mama does not know a peach pit from a think tank so we haven't an iota about whether this real estate transaction has anything to do with the dee-vorce of her parents, but thanks to Patty Panamacityrealestateinsider we do know that Little Miss Miley changed her mind about the condo and flipped it back on the market. According to property records Patty provided Little Miss Miley sold the condo this week for $1,968,750. A few quick flicks of the well-worn beads on our bejeweled abacus shows that's an approximately six-percent gain of $118,750. Not bad for a young ladee not even old enough to enjoy a gin & tonic legally.
Our 1.5 minute internet search failed to turn up a property listing for Little Miss Miley's condo but we did locate a rental listing that shows it was available as late as December 2010 with a low-season rate of $2,460/week and a hefty $6,415 for the week of the July 4th Independence Day celebrations. The penthouse level condo measures around 4,400 square feet and includes 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces and 2-dedicated parking spots in a secured garage.
The kitchen, open to the condo's main living and dining area, is well equipped with a 60-inch range with double oven, a built-in espresso machine, wine cellar and side-by-side SubZero fridge and freezer. The main living area has a wall of sliding windows that lead out to the 550 square feet of water-side terraces and a small but state-of-the-art screening room has a wet bar and 110-inch screen. The entire condo is wired with a smart home system that controls the televisions, audio and video systems and curtains.
Four of the five bedrooms have en suite facilities and the expansive gulf-view master suite includes a private study and a private sitting with faux stone fireplace, a morning kitchen, walk-in closet and large terliting and bathing areas with custom features like blown-glass sinks and a chroma-therapy spa tub. Sliding glass doors open the room to a water-side terrace with panoramic sunset views over the Gulf of Mexico.
The 10-unit condo complex sits just across the street from the and includes full-service amenities, a gulf-front swimming pool and spa and 240-feet of private white sand beach.
Listen kids, the so-called "Redneck Riviera" is just about the last place Your Mama and the Dr. Cooter want to spend a vacation but as it turns out we've actually twice been to this very stretch of sand and we can say with all honesty and sincerity that the beaches, the views and the ubiquitous fried food are just lovely.
Little Miss Miley spent her younger years on Singin' Hill Farm, a 500-acre spread in Thompson's Station, TN outside Nashville. She made a video of the house that she posted on her official website and can now be seen on the You Tube. At the risk of sounding pervy, Little Miss Miley spend a great deal of time with the camera in her dirty-ass bedroom that had clothes flung all over the floor.
When the Cyrus clan went Hollywood in 2007 they settled into a newly built faux-Tuscan mansion down a long gated drive in the upscale and celebrity packed Los Angeles enclave of Toluca Lake. The house, tucked up behind the home of one of Puff Daddy's baby mommas, measures 8,299 square feet according to The L.A. County Tax Man and includes 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Your Mama has no specific knowledge of such but there have been whispers and reports that the posh property will be sold off as a result of the dee-vorce of Little Miss Miley's parents Leticia and Billy Ray, he-ra of the 1992 country music hit Achy Breaky Heart.
In December of 2009, at just 17-years old, Little Miss Miley paid a very adult $3,400,000 for an estate just around the corner from her family's homestead in Toluca Lake that includes a 4,045 square foot main house, a swimming pool and tennis court.
Although there must be, Your Mama is not aware of any other celebrities besides Little Miss Miley who own homes or condos down on the "Redneck Riviera." What we do know is that the upscale Toluca Lake community claims a plethora of celeb residents including actor Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, not particularly funny comedian George Lopez, former Baywatch babe Brook Burns, actor James Marsden, Beverly Hills 90210 alum Jason Priestley, and Beverly Hills 90210 alum Jennie Garth and her man-mate Peter Facinelli (Nurse Jackie) who listed their huge house in June of 2010 for $5,995,000. Comedy's reigning king Steve Carell has long lived in the 'hood and recently shelled out $6,000,000 to buy the old Jonathan Winters house which he quickly razed to make way for his own Barbie Dreamhouse.
