Buckle your safety belts butter beans...

Last week we discussed a plush north London residence (allegedly) owned by Saif Gaddafi, the second son of embattled and defiant Libyan dictator Col. Muammar al-Gaddafi. At that time the 7 bedroom and 10 terlit residence was available for lease with an asking price of £9,750 per week.

Since then the super-luxe 4-floor Georgian-style mansion has been taken off the market and, in a truly fascinating turn of events, taken over by a group of politically-motivated squatters who call their ad hoc organization "Topple The Tryrants."

Reports in the London papers and on the BBC website indicate that the bobbies have rolled by the property but have yet to make any effort to dissuade or remove the squatters who believe the property was purchased by ill-gotten proceeds and want ownership transferred to the Libyan people. The squatters have not only hung anti-Gaddafi banners from the roof they've set up house in the luxurious residence where they are, reportedly, monitoring the dramatic and historic rebellion in Libya on Al Jazeera.

We are all but speechless and slack-jawed with awe.
